Bob SturtevantBob Sturtevant, ’75, ’80, serves as the Extension Forestry Specialist for the Forest, Rangeland and Watershed Stewardship Department at Colorado State University. In this role he works with university students, natural resource managers, landowners and the general public in forestry education and information sharing. He serves as an Associate Director of the Colorado Forest Restoration Institute and Human Resources Staff for the Colorado State Forest Service.

Bob will be speaking on the Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic that is killing millions of trees every year in Colorado. How has this native insect become such a problem, why is it such an effective killer of pines, and what is the future of our forests?
