About the CSU Alumni Legacy Scholarship

The purchase of CSU license plates supports the CSU Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund. Alumni and friends have raised over $190,000 for the endowment of the scholarship fund. 

Who is eligible for the Legacy Scholarship?

• Students in good standing who have parents, grandparents, or step-parents who are alumni of Colorado State University

How are winners selected?

• Students are selected by a committee of alumni board members and volunteers. Finalists for the scholarship fund are asked to submit an essay about what it means to them to be a CSU legacy. 

How to apply for the Legacy Scholarship

Students can apply for the Legacy Scholarship by completing the CSU Scholarship Application (CSUSA)  via Student Financial Services. The CSUSA will be available online beginning December 1. The deadline is March 1 at 11 p.m. (MST).
